Marilyn is in the first stages of gaining some speech and some movement on her left side. These are great signs as we continue down the long road ahead. Thanks to everyone for everything that has given us the STRENGTH to move through these first 3 weeks.

I don't know either of you but I work with Marilyn's mom. When I heard the knews I just knew she was going to be okay.....sounds a little freaky, but I guess it was my psychic powers. I even told Marge that. I ask Marge every day "How's Marilyn?" even though I read the blog almost daily. Get better Marilyn!! Gareth your an angel.

I had a great chat with Stephanie last night, and she related your wonderful progress and how great it was to be there with you both. It is so great to get this fantastic news from her, and your blog. We are all cheering you on, and your community is looking forward to you coming home, soon hopefully. It is fully fall here, the cottonwoods are bright yellow between Dolores and Cortez, the leaves are crunchy underfoot and have that fall smell, the little gray juncos are flitting about in the bushes and leaves, the deer hunters are everywhere and all the doggies have orange on their collars. The San Juans have a nice dusting of snow, getting your base ready for skiing! It is membership drive time at KSJD, and we are having tons of fun appreciating community in the form of radio and you both are on the mind of everyone there. Bill Hatcher is on-air right now with DJ Needlz spreading love over the air waves, with Scott on the phones. Hope you can tune in on-line to enjoy it!! And, it is World Series time with a game just down the road from you tomorrow! Are you enjoying the fine competition? Go Red Sox!!!

Such good news...made this day even more precious! Continuing to send much healing energy to you both and especially to that left side. Louise Hay (Healing Your Body and Hay House publishing) says that the Left Side of the Body "represents receptivity, taking in, feminine energy, women, the mother." and the affirmation is: "My feminine energy is beautifully balanced". Seems appropriate for Marilyn...a most lovely young woman! So wrapping you both in those thoughts....

Halloween is in the air. In the time that you two have been away the aspen, maple, and pear trees in out yard have gone from peak color to loosing most of their leaves. We have a bumper crop of apples that we need you to help us eat. There is a crisp fall smell in the air.
The pub is hosting a Halloween benefit in your name on Wednesday night. It won't be the same with out you two in your crazy costumes. Mr. and Mrs. Hinkie. We'll have to post a few photos of you guys from one of the past.
