Monday 10/22 - Turning a Corner

Over the weekend Marilyn has woken up. She is now awake at least 80% of the day and very aware of her surroundings and the people around her. So - I think I can officially say we have turned a corner! That makes this week especially big with lots of evaluation by rehab and neuro docs to figure out what is going on with speech and especially with her left side. She and I will be working hard. Keep sending the energy, we are on the way...

Hooray! We thought of both of you all weekend as we turned a LOT of corners on the White Rim. All of the beauty and energy of the canyons must have been carried on the wind back to you. So uplifting to hear that Marilyn is progressing in leaps and bounds. Stephen will be there soon to visit so, you know what to do...keep smiling!!!

Wow! What a wonderful Monday gift to read this news! Have been sending you this prayer the last several days (it's by Joy Harjo who is a Muscogee):

CALLING THE ALLIES

To pray you open your whole self
To sky, to earth, to sun, to moon
To one whole voice that is you.
And know there is more
That you can't see, can't hear....

Much love you two from both of us....Michael and Barb

Mari,
We love you and are glad to hear you are improving. I know that you will soon be the beautiful, intellegent woman that we know. We fell in love with you before you were born and when we saw Gareth we fell in love with him in a heart beat. He love you so much.
Hurry and come home to visit us in Illinois. All 12 of us!

Hi Marilyn,
I am sorry to hear about your wreck. It is very good to see that your injuries are getting better. That is great news. Keep at it. I have never met you (I know Gareth through work) but from all that I read from your friends and family - wow, I want to come and hang out with you guys. Whether it is just chillin, or taking a stroll through a meadow, or some adventure. You two have some very positive vibes emanating from yourselves. Your support network is warm and big. And Gareth is the man that I would want near me during a crisis or anytime. I am sending to you loving, healing energy.
Take care,
Ken :)
