A fund has been established in Marilyn's behalf to assist in recouping considerable costs incurred as a result of her medical air-evacuation from Ecuador, ongoing medical bills, and lost work income.

Marilyn returned to the Dolores Medical Center on a part time basis on July 14, 2008. She is seeing patients in full-capacity and furthering her medical education. She continues to hike, practice yoga and receive acupuncture as part of her physical recovery treatement.
