Starting to Remember

Beginning with our visit from Steve, Alicia, Melissa and Sarah, Marilyn is remembering the recent past. This is a very good sign, because it means the fog is beginning to clear. We both wish things would go faster, but we also know we have to be patient and work hard together. We both just had big smiles reading your comments following Marilyn's post. Today we'll spend some time outside and watching the Bronco game. Hopefully they can win one.

Hey Marilyn and Gareth,

The kids loved getting to visit with you yesterday. Matan felt very special to get to 'drive' your wheelchair.

You are doing fabulously. I continue to be amazed by the progress that you are making. I know that it is frustratingly slow progress for you, but everyday you are improving. I find your insight into the whole thing so amazing. As you put it, your "brain is fuzzy", but that fuzziness is going to continue to clear.

I have been so impressed with Craig. What a fabulous hospital with such a highly trained and dedicated staff. Everyone I met when I went to therapy with you were so warm and professional and the rehab program is so impressively comprehensive. You could not be in a better place to heal and get well.

With Gareth at your side you are making an amazing recovery.

I love you Marilyn and am so proud of the work you are doing!

Love,
Rach

Hi Marilyn and Gareth,
So excited to hear about your continuing progress! I practically can't not keep informed as every time I talk to Mom she lets me know that I am a day behind! However, while I'm not the queen of email or even the princess I am thinking about you two many times throughout each day. Marilyn I was so honored to get to meet you the other day at Kindred, I hope that you are enjoying the Goldberg Variations and I look forward to meeting you again someday soon! Gareth is a great person as you know and I have to say I especially enjoyed hearing his tone of voice when he spoke to you that day at Kindred and also hearing him telling someone on the phone that and I quote, "Marilyn is the most amazing person I've ever known". So continue being amazing and know that you are in the prayers of the Hegyi household, and the community of Notre Dame. Love to you both, Teresa

Hello Marilyn and Gareth,

It's great to read about these positive changes on the blog! You both are amazing. Marilyn, it sounds like you have an appetite. Is Craig serving up a turkey dinner? Maybe Gareth can bring in something homecooked...to continued healing..cheers, Diane Wren

Marilyn,

I heard about your accident from Leslie, a former classmate of Trina's. She saw it on the alumni website. I am so sorry to hear about the accident and your struggles since. It sounds like you have an incredible support circle in place. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Aunt Luanne, Anne, Beth & Scott

Marilyn I have often thought of you over the years and how close we once were. I miss you and when I heard from Norine what had happened I was saddened and prayed hard for you. I wish we had remained in contact and often I meant to ask Trina for your address. How time goes by and how unpredictable it can be. You will be in my thoughts and prayers my special Cousin. I hope to be able to talk to you once you are feeling better. To Gareth I am so glad my cousin has such a wonderful person to be there for her. I can see from your writing how much love you both share. I hope to meet you soon. All my love, Carolyn/Sue
